There are 5 Types of membership. Any Industrial Diving School or subsea related organisation, whether Private, State Owned or Military wishing to become a member should request the appropriate Application Form from the Administrator at

FULL MEMBERS This type of membership is divided into 2 categories:
- FULL MEMBERSHIP - Diver Training
Commercial Diving schools who teach and instruct theoretical and practical diver students and have them examined. End-classification is the IDSA QCard. - see Note 1 - FULL MEMBERSHIP - Specialist Diving Training
Commercial Schools who teach diving specialist qualifications but do not train divers. - see Note 2
- FULL MEMBERSHIP - Diver Training
- ASSOCIATE
Commercial Schools who are either considering Full Membership in the future or who wish to be associated. As a commercial diving school with the work of the Association. - AFFILIATE / INDUSTRIAL MEMBERSHIP
Diving Contractors, Suppliers, Manufacturers and other organizations concerned with or interested in the work of the Association. - OBSERVER Members
Government departments is a state that participates in the activities of the IDSA without having full membership rights. - RECIPROCAL
An exchange of Membership with Organizations whose aims are like those of IDSA, and from which both sides can benefit.
Notes
1. Only full Members (Diver training) may issue IDSA Diver Qualification Cards.
2. The list of accepted Specialist Diving Standards is:
- HSE First Aid at Work and Oxygen Administration
- IMCA Diver Medic
- IMCA Trainee Air Supervisor
- IMCA Trainee Closed Bell Supervisor
- IMCA ALST
- Lloyds/ASNT NDT Inspection Diver
- CSWIP NDT Inspection Diver

Reciprocal Members | The subscription for Reciprocal Members waived, and IDSA pays no subscription to that Member's organisation. |
